The WELLBE project unites the efforts of 4 adult education providers from Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria and Serbia. At the application phase we have conducted desk research to get to know more about the issue and the solution we can propose. Download and read the desk research here.
Main objective of the WellBe project is to improve competences of adult trainers to provide quality and inclusive adult learning in blended learning environments.
How? By developing and piloting an online training program to bridge training and coaching, targeting adult trainers and equipping them with coaching competences and tools to be embedded in their daily work with adult learners.

Our focus in developing the WellBE Training program is on several levels:
A. Coaching in adult education. We bring more closely the coaching methods and tools in the practice of adult educators in two perspectives:
How can I as an adult educator use coaching to foster my self-care = wellbeing? And
How can I as an adult educator integrate coaching principles in my practice with learners to foster their motivation and resilience = wellbeing?
There are different types of interventions that can support adult trainers and learners to recover their resilience and positivism for learning and development. We would like to contribute to the current provision by offering a coaching skills training for adult trainers, which one hand will help to nurture their own self-care and on the other, will help them introduce new elements from the coaching field in their work to boost learners’ motivation and engagement.
B. Coaching paradigm and methodology. We will bring unique perspectives to coaching:
ICF standards: ICF is the world leading organisation setting the standards of the coaching profession. Two partners in this project (Belgium and Serbia) are officially recognised by ICF for their coaching expertise.
Coaching psychology: is a new movement pursuing integration between coaching and psychology. The partner from Serbia is a leading proponent of this movement in the region of Southeastern Europe but has also brought their expertise far beyond, working with world class authorities and presenting coaching programs to learners across Europe.
Systems thinking and leadership: Partner from Bulgaria is integrating coaching with other learning areas and will provide good practice in this holistic approach.
Training methodology. Our training adult educator’s methodology will integrate our cumulative expertise allowing us to go beyond the borders of traditional curriculum, reducing limitations of traditional training by accompanying it with mentoring and online discussions.
